Stamos Sarris

Stamos Sarris is a shipping executive with over 30 years of professional experience in ship management, chartering, sale and purchase of vessels, and maritime business administration. Since 2019, he has served as Commercial Director of NOVAMARIS INC., a ship management company, having previously held the position of General Director at STAM Shipping S.A. from 2009 to 2023. He holds a BSc in Business Administration from the Athens University of Economics and Business and an MSc in International Trade & Transport from London Guildhall University. He has also completed postgraduate studies in Applied Ethics and Philosophy at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
His professional career began in 1992 at Interglobal Marine Agencies S.A., where he gained extensive experience in vessel operations, chartering, and ship sale and purchase transactions. Alongside his maritime career, he has developed business and investment activities in real estate and financial consultancy.
Combining his extensive business experience with his academic background in philosophy, he has developed a particular interest in the relationship between philosophical thought, ethics, and contemporary society. He is involved in the Institute of Philosophy and Ideas (IFI), an initiative dedicated to promoting philosophical dialogue, critical thinking, and the open exchange of ideas.
